Woodblock illustration from a work on 'Chinese' medicine by the 18th century Japanese physician Hara Masakatsu, published in 1807 (4th year of the Bunkwa era). The liver channel of footjueyinis one of the Twelve Channels. It runs up the back of the throat into the nasopharynx, connects with the eye, exits at the forehead, and comes into confluence withdumai(Governor Vessel) at thebaihui(Hundred Meetings) point at the top of the head.
