Notes A picture of the same composition, known as Die Jagd nach dem Glück, now in the Kunstmuseum, Basel, is attributed to a Flemish follower of Elsheimer (see Adam Elsheimer und sein Kreis, Dr. W Drost, Potsdam 1935). A further painting of the same composition was sold at Sotheby's Monaco, 25th June 1984, as by Adriaen van Nieulandt, with a monogram 'C. B.'.[1]
