English: Afon Soch below Pont Towyn At this point Afon Soch (=sow river)is less than 1km from the sea at Hell's Mouth Bay but, because of glacial modification of the drainage pattern, the Soch does a U-turn and flows another 4km (through the gap in the hills) to reach the sea at Abersoch. |
