Summary[edit]
DescriptionAll Saints, Cotgrave, Mining Memorial Stained Glass Window.JPG |
English: Stained glass window in the north aisle east of the north door of All Saints' parish church, Cotgrave, Nottinghamshire. It was installed after fire damaged the church in 1996. It represents Cotgrave village (left), the two Koepe pithead towers of the former Cotgrave Colliery (centre and right) and the coal seams under Cotgrave (below) that were mined from the early 1960s until the colliery was closed in the early 1990s. Note the polished shovel mounted on the splay of the window on the right. |
