Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: The Parish Church, Orton The church is dedicated to All Saints. This dedication is not inappropriate to a rural community, for traditionally the farming year ends in October, and the first Saint's Day thereafter is on the first of November - the festival of All Saints. The original church was probably a primitive structure, and it was not until the early 13th century that a permanent stone edifice was built. In 1876-78 the church went through a period of widespread restoration. |
