Attisch-weißgrundige Lekythos des Sabouroff-Malers (Zuschreibung durch Ernst Buschor). In der Mitte des Bildes steht Hermes, rechts davon ein Jüngling in zinnoberroten Himation und links steht Charon in seinem gelben Bott, sich auf die Ruderstange stützend, er trägt eine Fellmütze und eine rote Exomis, die ungewöhnlich gut erhalten ist; auf der Henkelseite Reste der Schilfdarstellung. Um 450/40 v. Chr., gefunden angeblich in Attika, Höhe 31,3cm. In Athen für die Antikensammlung Berlin (Altes Museum), Inventarnummer F 2455; CVA Deutschland 62/Berlin 8, Tafel 16+17; ARV 266,8; ARV 2 561,110; Para 423; Addenda 1 145; Addenda 2 297.

Attisch-weißgrundige Lekythos (von Ernst Buschor dem Sabouroff-Maler ("Charonmeister") zugeschrieben, nicht allgemein übernommen; erinnert an den Maler von München 2335). Rechts steht mit Fellmütze und Exomis bekleideter Charon in seinem Boot auf eine Ruderstange gestützt; den Arm streckt er weit nach einer Frau auf der linken Seite; sie ist abgesehen vom Gesicht komplett vom Himation bedeckt; hinter der Frau steht eine weitere Frau, auffallend kleiner (Bedeutungsgröße), also eine Dienerin; diese mit ihrem halblangen, lockigen Haar, ihrem Himation und nicht mehr erhaltenen Chiton hält in der erhobenen rechten Hand ein Kästchen, in der gesenkten Linken ein Alabastron; auf den Kopf der Frau fliegt ein Eidalon im Klagestatus zu, ein zweites sitzt auf einem Ruder in Charons Boot, ein drittes fliegt ohne Klagegestus fliegt rechts oberhalb des Kopfes der Dienerin. Um 440 v. Chr.; 37,7cm hoch; angeblich in Athen gefunden. Für die Antikensammlung Berlin (Altes Museum) in Paris erworben; Inventarnummer V.I. 3137; CVA Deutschland 62/Berlin 8, Tafel 18+23.

To the right site Charos clothed in Exomis and fur hat standing in his boat; on the left site a woman, clothes exept the face completely in her Himation; behind her a small second woman (servant), in her right hand a box, in the left an Alabastron; one mourning Eidalon flies near the womans head, a second is sitting on an oar, a not mourning third flied behind the servants head. About 440 BC.; 37,7cm high; said to be found in Athens. Purchased in Paris for the Antikensammlung Berlin (Altes Museum); Invnr.: V.I. 3137; CVA Germany 62/Berlin 8, plate 18+23.
