Notes The portuguese costume is from the beginning of the 16th-century, fanciful szkofia, a hat decoration of Hungarian origin and Polish delia coat are from second half of the century. In 1518, Jan Krzysztof's father Hetman Jan Tarnowski, was accoladed by King Manuel I in St. John's Church in Lisbon as a knight of Portugal.
