Description
Deutsch: aus dem DEHIO Vorarlberg 1983: ANSITZ Wellenstein, in Hanglage auf halbem Weg zwischen der Bregenzer Klause und Lochau. Erbaut um 1555 von dem 1559 mit dem Prädikat "von Wellenstein" nobilitierten Bregenzer Patrizier Ulrich Reutin. Als Erbgut kurz vor 1599 Übergang an die Bregenzer Patrizier Schmid und weitgehender Innenumbau. Seit 1626 rasch wechselnde Besitzerfolge bis 18. Jh. Ab 1791 bäuerlicher bezw. bürgerlicher Besitz. 1965 renoviert, 1982/83 Generalsanierung. - 2geschossiger Rechteckbau unter Satteldach, regelmässige Achsen durch einfache Viereckfenster in gefalztem Rahmen. Aus der NO-Ecke ausspringend 3geschossiger quadrat. Turm mit welscher Haube. Ostseitig rundbogiges Eingangsportal, am Schlußstein leerer Wappenschild mit Freiherrenkrone, um 1700, 1965 durch Kopie ersetzt. *** in Wellenstein Nr.1, Lochau, Vorarlberg.
