| Description |
English: Arms of King Charles 1 at Killyleagh Castle The Hamilton family supported the royalists during the Civil War, the support apparently including the loan of money. When the monarchy was restored they asked for repayment of the loan; but all they got was the right to display the arms of Charles the First. This is over the front door of the castle. |
