Description
English: August Scherl was one of the most influential and successful publishers in Germany around 1900. This scan shows the back cover of his magazine "Die Woche" from 1914 with the imperium of his publications such as "Die Gartenlaube", a family magazine. The ad states: 300 million sold papers per year.
Deutsch: August Scherl war einer der einflussreichsten und erfolgreichsten Verleger um 1900. Dieser Scan zeigt die Rückseite seiner Zeitschrift "Die Woche" aus dem ersten Kriegsjahr, 1914. Hier sind die Zeitschriften des Verlags aufgeführt, u.a. "Die Gartenlaube", das "Lieblingsblatt der deutschen Familie". Die Werbeanzeige des Verlags schließt mit der Zahl: "Jährlich 300 Millionen Exemplare"
