| Description |
English: Near site of Aysgarth station, 1991. View northward, under a bridge of the former Wensleydale railway, immediately west of Aysgarth station: ex-NER Northallerton (to right) - Hawes (to left)line. The station was closed from 26/4/54 along with the whole line west of Redmire. However, Northallerton - Redmire remained open for freight until 1992. The Wensleydale Heritage Railway have restored the route between Leeming Bar and Redmire so far and plan to reopen through here to Hawes in due course. |
