Ireneo G Bughao of Manila, Philippines earned a spot at the “Ripley’s Believe It or Not”, as the World’s Human Calendar on November 22, 1996. He astoundingly mastered the art of calendrical calculation with speed and accuracy. Names of large numbers like Thousand, Million, Billion, Trillion, Quadrillion, Quintillion, Sextillion, Septillion, Octillion, Nonillion, Decillion, Vigintillion, Trigintillion, Googol, Centillion, Googolplex can be used in place of years as shown below.

Mr. Bughao received a calligraphy/RIPLEY’S CARTOON (October 8, 1997)–from Ripley’s Head Office, Orlando, Florida, U.S.A. – covered by ABS-CBN to state: “Ireneo Bughao of Manila, Philippines is able to calculate the specific day of the week of any day in the past or future faster than a computer!” and also in an article in the Philippine Star newspaper (May 20, 1997) which highlights: “In recognition for his unusual expertise in the speedy calculation of dates based on the Gregorian Calendar (October 15, 1582 – December 31, 9999) which has elicited the interest and respect of International Mathematicians.” The distinction earned for Mr. Bughao as the only 2nd Filipino to be included in the prestigious records of Ripley’s Believe It or Not!
