English: Ballater Station - the end of the line The railway line from Aberdeen to Ballater was closed in the 1960s. The station building now houses a tourist centre and a restaurant. The edge of the main platform also remains, allowing visitors, if they wish, to imagine how things would have been before the Beeching axe fell. |
