Summary[edit]

Description
English: Baron's Dike This stream called Baron's Dike runs parallel to the line of Hadrian's Wall for a short distance, before heading north east. The stream no doubt gets its name from a medieval defensive earthwork known as the Baron's or Bishop's Dyke, which ran south east from the Wall for about 2 miles to Newby. http://homepage.mac.com/philipdavis/English%20sites/310.html
