Summary[edit]

Description
English: A cliff of basaltic columns at château Sainte-Anne in Marcilly-le-Châtel, Loire, Rhône-Alpes in France. The columns formed about 20 million years ago, in a lava lake in the crater of a volcano. The volcano has been eroded away.
