| Description |
English: Bedd yr afanc, looking north-northwest This shows the layout of this unusual Neolithic grave. The remaining upright stones would have formed a passage, blocked at either end, but not divided into chambers. Possibly there was an outer ring of smaller stones. The whole structure would have been covered by a mound, and, standing as it does on raised ground, it must originally have been more prominent in its boggy setting. Lying west to east it would catch the long rays of the rising and setting sun. |
