English: with the debate raging on whether begumpur masjid was built during Muhammad bin Tughlaq's time or before, the structure, although muted by encroachments and a whole lot of years of neglect, still stands defiant in its sweeping courtyard, second only to jama masjid in size...
elements of timurid architecture amongst broken beer bottle can be seen, some parts of the intricately designed roof, very symmetrical in nature, similar to the khirki masjid which causes doubt on it being built during Firozshah Tughlaq's time, a small ladies' exclusive in a corner, and the humidity gives way to a breeze on the roof, through some delightfully narrow and twisted stairways...
