For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. 100 Jahre Borsig-Werke. Am 22. Juli begeht die von August Borsig in Berlin im Jahre 1837 gegründete Maschinenfabrik die Feierihres 100-jährigen Bestehens. U.B.z. die zu Jubiläumstermin von den Borsig Lokomotiv-Werken in Hennigsdorf fertiggestellte erste
stromlinienverkleidete Kohlenstaublokomotive mit dem vornliegenden Führerstand. Die Maschine entwickelt 3000 PS und erreicht eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 175 km/h. Die Länge der Maschine beträgt 23,5 m. Ihr Gewicht ist mit Tender ca. 200 t. Die Kohlenstaubbefeuerung geschieht automatisch. |
