Description

Der Schmachter See liegt quasi »gegenüber« der Ostsee. Man erreicht ihn, indem man von der Seebrücke aus die Hauptstraße entlang weiter läuft. -

Das Ostseebad Binz liegt an der Südost-Rügener Bäderküste. Der mondäne Ort lockt jährlich tausende Gäste mit seiner berühmten Bäder-Architektur als Urlauber an. Der Ort selber gehörte bis 1990 zum Kreis Rügen. Nach der Wiedervereinigung wurde dann saniert, rekonstruiert und auch neu gebaut. Straßen und Wege wurden instand gesetzt und auch die Strandpromenade wurde bis nach Prora verlängert. Auch der Kurplatz erhielt eine neue Gestaltung. Es ist alles wunderschön hergerichtet worden - ein Besuch lohnt wirklich, um die erneuerte Bäder-Architektur anzuschauen. Hier ist insbesondere die Hauptstraße zu nennen, aber auch abseits der »Touristen-Rennstrecken« findet sich so manch ganz wunderschön renoviertes Kleinod wie dieses hier.
