In the background you can see the Torrey Pines cliffs and the private research facility, Scripps Pier. Photo is looking south toward La Jolla, taken 2009-11-03. AKA "Granny Walk" and is where Life Guard vehicles access the beach. Actually, looking south here would be La Jolla Shores cliffs, while Torrey Pines cliffs would be looking north, towards Torrey Pines State Park |
