(Alias: les six lis peuvent faire place à un semé de lis et la bordure s'est élargie, si bien que les armes de Fouquet semblent mises sur le tout d'un écu de France ancien. L'adjonction de la bordure est due à l'acquisition de la terre de Chalain, sortie de Chateaubriand. Parfois l'écureuil est contourné: est-ce pour se différencier des Fouquet de Vaux, qui avaient une autre origine que les Fouquet de Chalain).
