The arms were designed by Robert Louis in 1962. They were adapted from those of the "Compagnie des seigneurs du canal de Loire en Seine" (argent three bars wavy gules), where the three bars wavy symbolised the three rivers Loire, Seine and Loing

Blasonnement de gueules à trois fasces ondées d'argent
Ces armes ont été créées par Robert Louis en 1962. Elles dérivent de celles de la "Compagnie des seigneurs du canal de Loire en Seine" (même blasonnement, mais en inversant les couleurs), où les trois fasces ondées symbolisaient la Loire, la Seine et le Loing.
