English: Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) Systems Engineer Bobak Ferdowsi is seen reacting after the MSL rover Curiosity successfully landed on Mars, Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012 at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif. Ferdowsi is known for changing his hair style for each mission or big event at JPL. Curiosity was designed to assess whether Mars ever had an environment able to support small life forms called microbes. |
