Summary[edit]

Description

This bumblebee is a nest parasite of other bumblebees....mostly B. impatiens. The parasite kills or disables the host queen and then has the workers from the host bee raise her babies. Captured by Tim McMahon in Cecil County Maryland Photograph by Colby Francoeur.
