| Description |
English: British Camp Reservoir from Broad Down Victorian engineering at its best collecting water from many springs. After years of problems with water shortages plans were made in 1890 to build the reservoir costing £26,000. The 1891 Malvern Water Act allowed the reservoir to be built and, in 1895 it was opened by the Duchess of Teck. Behind is the ridge of the northern section of the Malvern Hills. The four peaks visible are, from left to right, Worcestershire Beacon, the twin peaks of Pinnacle Hill and Black Hill. |
