For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Berlin, Köpenicker Schloss, Schlosskapelle Illus Richter 17.10.1950 Berlin-Köpenick. Köpenick, ein Ort an der Mündung von Dahme und Spree östlich von Berlin, wurde 1920 der 16. Verwaltungsbezirk Gross-Berlins. Die Hauptindustrie sind chemische Fabriken und Wäschereien. UBz: Die Fischer, von denen es heute in Köpenick noch eine ganze Anzahl gibt, hängen ihre Netze dort zum Trocknen auf, wo bereits ihre Vorfahren im 16. Jahrhundert von der Fischerei lebten. Im Hintergrund die alte Schloßkapelle.
