For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Großottersleben, Feldarbeit mit Pflug und Walze Zentralbild Biscan Leu-Mlk 8.7.1952 Beginn der Ernte 1952 in Sachsen-Anhalt Nach der Mähmaschine: Pflug und Walze. Der junge Bauer Horst Lattorf in Großotterlseben bei Magdeburg will keine Stunde versäumen, dem Boden noch eine zweite Ernte abzuringen. Kaum hat er die Wintergerste gemäht, pflügt er das Feld, walzt es und macht es fertig für die zweite Saat. Hier will er in diesem Jahr noch ein zweites Mal ernten und zwar Grünfutter für seinen im Verlauf weniger Monate auf 20 Schweine und 7 Rinder gestiegenen Viehbestand.
