Am 26. Oktober spielte die Fußballmannschaft der Rumänischen Volksrepublik gegen die DDR-Auswahlmannschaft im Bukarester Stadion der Republik vor einer begeisterten Zuschauer-menge von über 40.000 Menschen. Das Spiel endete mit einem 3:1- Sieg der rumänischen Fußballmanschaft.
