For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. ADN-ZB-Hirndorf-19.7.1984-Erfurt: Die Krämerbrücke, durch die dieses Pärchen schlendert, ist das älteste profane Bauwerk Erfurts. Sie besteht aus zwei eng aneinandergedrückten Häuserzeilen. Winzige Läden zu beiden Seiten beherbergen Antiquitäten, Galerien, kleines Handwerk. Neben dem Ponte Vecchio in Florenz ist sie die berühmteste der vollständig erhaltenen Straßenbrücken Europas. Nach einem Brand von 1472 entstanden die Häuser in ihrer heutigen Gestalt. |
