For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Schwerin, Planung von Meliorationen ADN-ZB Pätzold-24.3.86 Schwerin: Für künftig höhere Ernteerträge und saftigere Weiden sorgen Mitarbeiter in den Projektierungsbüros des VEB Meliorationsbau Schwerin. Hier entstehen Be- und Entwässerungsprojekte für den mecklenburgischen Bezirk. Als jüngstes Vorhaben steht die Wasserüberleitung von der Elde in die Rögnitz und damit die Melioration von über 6000 ha landwirtschaftlicher Fläche kurz vor dem Abschluß. Zur Rationalisierung der Projektierungsarbeiten werden auch alte Karten und Lagepläne aus den Beständen des Schweriner Staatsarchives für aktuelle Aufgaben genutzt. siehe auch ADN Bezirkskorrespondenz vom 21.3.86
