For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Bau einer Staustufe an der Ilm ADN-ZB Ludwig-23.5.87 Bez. Erfurt: Mach-Mit-Einsatz der Mitglieder des Anglerverbandes- Unter den rund 8500 Mitgliedern des Anglerverbandes, die im Mai im Rahmen der Aktion unsere Gewässer - gepflegte Gewässer" etwa 34000 Arbeitsstunden geleistet haben, war auch die Ortsgruppe Arnstadt, die beteiligten sich an einem Arbeitseinsatz an der Ilm, wo z.B. eine Staustufe eingebaut wurde. Sie bestehen aus Basaltsteinen und Faschinen und verlaufen quer zum Ufer. Bei Niedrigwasser wird der Wasserstand erhöht. Durch das Aufsprudeln wird der Sauerstoffanteil gesteigert und so die Qualität des Wassers verbessert. Zum Abschluß der Aktion wurden 400000 kleine Forellen in der Ilm ausgesetzt. - siehe auch 1987-0523-1 und 2N -
