For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Lübbenau, Kraftwerk, Baumaßnahmen ADN-ZB Weisflog 30.1.89 Bez. Cottbus: Der zweite umfassend rekonstruierte und modernisierte 100-Megawatt-Block des Kraftwerkes Lübbenau geht am 31. Januar wieder ans Netz. Durch den Einbau neuer, größerer Elektrofilter wird der Staubauswurf bedeutend reduziert. - Siehe auch 1989-0130-5N. Seit Mai 1988 wurden die Anlagen, die bereits 25 Jahre Energie erzeugt hatten, von Grund auf für eine ebensolange Periode erneuert. Der Aufwand beträgt dabei nur 40 bis 60 Prozent der Mittel für den Neubau eines Kraftwerkes gleicher Leistung.
