For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Dresden, Forschungsschiff
ADN-Hiekel 18.4.1990 Dresden: Greenpeace-Die "Beluga", mit der die internationale Umweltschutzorganisation die Verschmutzung der Elbe durch DDR-Betriebe untersucht hatte, machte am Terrassenufer Station. Über erste Ergebnisse informierte die Besatzung des Laborschiffes auf einer Pressekonferenz. So zählt das Zellstoffwerk Pirna, das täglich fünf bis zehn Tonnen besonders giftige organische Chlorverbindungen einleitet, zu den Hauptverschmutzern. Greenpeace will mit dieser Aktion zugleich nachweisen, daß nicht nur DDR-Betriebe, sondern auch BRD-Firmen an der Elbe-Verschmutzung beteiligt sind. |
