Das Bild zeigt die Kreuzung Spandauer und Karl-Liebknecht-Straße. Von rechts nach oben verläuft die Spandauer Straße Richtung Hackescher Markt. Die in Ost-West-Richtung querende Straße ist die heutige Karl-Liebknecht-Straße. Die Freifläche davor ist der ehem. Neue Markt (zwischen dem und dem Roten Rathaus heute der Neptunbrunnen steht). Die Turmspitze über dem Rathaus gehört der Marienkirche.
