For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Leipzig, Hauptbahnhof, Bauarbeiten Zentralbild Illner 2 Motive 2.6.1955 Der Leipziger Haupfbahnof wird verglast Einer der grössten Bahnhöfe Europas, der Leipziger Haupfbahnhof wurde durch anglo-amerikanische Bombenangriffe stark zerstört. Jetzt wird dieser Bahnhof verglast. Die Stahlkonstruktion, 24 m über den Bahnsteigen, wird in verbesserter Form wieder hergestellt. UBz: Die Kollegen des VEB Eisenbau Leipzig arbeiteten auf drei Arbeitsbühnen eine fahrbaren Montagegerüstes.
