For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
ADN-ZB-Settnik-23.9.80-Jugend-Berlin: Ein neues Verfahren zur Triacetingewinnung entwickelten junge Neuerer aus dem VEB Berlin-Chemie - hier Britta Menge (r.) und Marion Pletz bei Laboruntersuchungen. Das Verfahren, das auf der Berliner Bezirks-MMM mit einem Diplom ausgezeichnet wurde, brachte einen Nutzen von 150 000 M und sicherte die Befriedigung des Eigenbedarfs des Betriebes an dieser Chemikalie. Triacetin hat als Stabilisator und Absorbtionsmittel u.a. eine große Bedeutung für die pharmazeutische und die Lebensmittelindustrie.
