| Description |
English: Entrance to Midland Railway Centre, Butterley 1993. View northward: ex-Midland Ambergate (to left) - (to right) Pye Bridge, (also Ripley) line. The station and line closed to passengers from 16/9/47, to goods 7/11/64, but it was an important freight route, so not closed completely until 23/12/68. The Midland Railway Trust took over the station from 22/8/81 and run trains a short distance each way, east to Swanwick (former junction of the Ripley line) and west to Hammersmith. |
