Notes
  • Significance: The Chittenden Memorial Bridge, and its predecessor on the same site, provided vehicular access to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and Artist Point. The bridge's name honors Hiram M. Chittenden, who was the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officer in charge of road construction in Yellowstone National Park from 1891-893 and from 1899-1906. Chittenden built the first bridge on the site in 1903.
