Description |
Nederlands: Bordeauxkleurige vrouwenbroek van een traditioneel huwelijkskostuum zoals dit werd gedragen door bruiden in Hammamet. De broek is op het onderste deel van de benen versierd met goudborduursel met geometrische motieven op zijde ondergrond. Daarboven florale en vegetatieve figuren in pailletten, met gouddraad omranding op de dijen. De afboording bovenaan toont gestileerde vogels met open vleugels waarboven vogelfiguren.
Het complete kostuum bestaat uit tuniek met bijpassende broek en vestje, een hemd en hoofdtooi. Dit kostuum werd gedragen op de derde dag van het huwelijksritueel, de zogenaamde 'jelwa' dag, wanneer de bruid getoond wordt aan de familieleden, de huwelijkscontracten uitgewisseld worden en de inventaris van de bruidsschat opgemaakt. Tijdens haar eigen bruiloft droeg de bruid deze broek onder een tuniek (6353-1), alleen het onderste deel van de benen in goudborduursel was dan zichtbaar. Het vestje (6353-2a) droeg zij met de broek ook tijdens andere gelegenheden. |
