Summary[edit]

Description California Condor #99 perched on Angels Landing, high above the Zion Canyon floor. The bird is one of the world's rarest, and was introduced into an aggressive conservation and captive breeding plan after the population dropped to 22 in the mid 1980s. Today, numbers are rising, but with an estimated 226 birds in the wild, the species remains classified as Critically Endangered. [Canon 6d / 70-300mm]
