Description

1 Battalion, Leicestershire Regiment

Captain Herbison was wounded on 15 September 1916 during the Battle of the Somme. He died of his wounds, aged 23, on 17 September.

Two days later, his brother was killed at Vimy Ridge. Captain Herbison is buried at Corbie Communal Cemetery Extension. Photograph presented by Mrs Herbison.
