Description
English: Shows the corner with stone abuttment at Chatburn end....Clitheroe's biggest Sceduled Ancient Monument...and probably the least known. The huge lime kiln at Bellman Park and Salthill lime works, run by James Carter and Sons.

http://www.ancientmonuments.info/en35008-bellmanpark-lime-kilns-and-part-of-an-asso It is a shame its in such a ruinous state, should be restored as a tribute to the workers and the lime / cement industry of Clitheroe...it was also the site of the first cement works.
