  • Significance: Cherokee Grove was built in 1887-8 for Henry Mason Cutting. Designed by architect William M. Wright of New York and St. Augustine, the house was used as a hunting & fishing lodge. Exterior walls are of sun-dried concrete and coquina block. After Cutting's death in 1892, his widow married Prince Boris Scherbatow and used the house as a summer place. Mr. & Mrs. L.E. Wadsworth purchased Cherokee Grove in 1954.
