Coat of arms of the People's Republic of Romania (January-March 1948), according to Decree nr. 3/8 January 1948 (published in «Monitorul Oficial», nr. 7/9 January 1948, p. 154):

The coat of arms of the People's Republic of Romania is showing: a tractor, a group of three furnaces in front of a rising sun, surrounded by a bundle of wheat ears tied with a ribbon having written on it «Republica Populară Română» and the initials «RPR» at the end of the wheat ears.

This is a reconstituted model based on the description, as the "tractor" coat of arms was never used.

Public domain According to the Romanian Law on Copyright and Neighboring Rights Law no. 8/1996 of March 14, 1996 with further amendments Chapter 3 Article 9 the following documents shall not benefit from the legal protection accorded to copyright:

Therefore this image is assumed to be in the public domain worldwide, although some of the above categories may be subject to usage restrictions within Romania.
