| Description |
The ultimate geekfest: the annual Comic Con International, held every mid-July in San Diego. I am visiting thanks to a guest pass from a presenter. The booth for Prism Comics, an association of LGBT comic creators. I am a strong believer in its slogan, "Homo Superior." Prism Comics turned 10 years old at this Comic Con, and also hosted the 25th annual Gays in Comics panel which was a very good (if a bit lengthy) overview of the big strides made by LGBT comics since the late 1980s. My good friend Tara Avery (on the far right) is the one who invited me and gave me the guest pass. |
