Notes
  • Significance: The North Twenty-First Street Bridge is one of the earliest examples of a continuous reinforced concrete girder bridge constructed in the United States. It was designed by the firm of Waddell and Harrington in 1910 and completed in 1911. The four continuous rectangular girders span a total of 180" (three spans of 60' each). They are supported on gravity abutments and eight separate rectangular reinforced concrete piers (two piers per girder).
