[edit] Summary
Logarithmic plot of the Lawson criterion for deuterium-tritium fusion, or the minimum product of electron number density times energy confinement time needed to maintain the fusion plasma at a constant temperature. The ions and electrons are taken to have Maxwellian velocity distributions at the same temperature, and the ion densities are each half that of the electrons. Created with Matlab on 16 December 2005 by David Strozzi. The curve uses a spline interpolation through the reaction rate data on p. 45 of the 2000 revision of the "NRL Plasma Formulary."
