Description
Français : Généralement caractérisée par son épaisseur, la touche du peintre est ici plus fine et rapide, laissant penser qu’il s’agit d’une esquisse. Occupant le centre du tableau, deux danseurs en mouvement se font face dans une sorte d’affrontement. Ils sont entourés par plusieurs personnages : à gauche, se trouvent des musiciens, dont l’un souffle dans un « zuma » (sorte de hautbois à forme conique), tandis que l’autre joue d’un instrument à cordes pincées. La scène est inscrite dans un paysage naturel : elle se détache sur un ciel crépusculaire qui contraste, en partie inférieure, avec l’intensité du bleu de la mer.
