Summary[edit]
DescriptionDismantled railway crosses Nant Byfre - geograph.org.uk - 416474.jpg |
English: Dismantled railway crosses Nant Byfre The long gone Swansea to Brecon railway used to cross Nant Byfre at this point just north of the quarry at Penwyllt. The river valley has been filled in with a huge dam-like embankment to carry the line. The river itself now runs through a small tunnel below. The rails have been removed but the flat grassy top provides an ideal racetrack for the enthusiastic lambs on this open access land. |
