Summary[edit]
DescriptionDormer windows, Belfast - geograph.org.uk - 1398146.jpg |
English: Dormer windows, Belfast Gordon House, at the corner of Rosemary Street and Lombard Street, was designed by Thomas Jackson & Sons and completed in 1878. Built using red sandstone (not uncommon in Belfast) it has this unusual domed dormer window on the corner, flanked by another two dormers each of a different size. All three have intricate carvings on their pediments. The design of the roof, incorporating slates of different shapes, is also unusual.
It had fallen vacant and unloved but was renovated some years ago and retains the original façade. |
